What we publish
Current Standard Licence holders
Contractor records are generated from the latest successfully processed licence-holder register. Companies must have a current Standard Licence to appear in the asbestos-removal directory.
How it works
From the official register to the directory
The website processes licence information before any contractor is displayed. Failed downloads, invalid data and unmatched licences prevent affected listings from being published.
Download
The latest available asbestos licence-holder spreadsheet is downloaded through the official register page.
Validate
The file structure, headings, licence numbers, company names and expiry dates are checked before processing continues.
Filter
Standard Licences are retained for public removal listings. Scaffolding and maintenance licence records are excluded.
Deduplicate
When an older licence and its replacement both appear, the newer valid record is selected to avoid duplicate companies.
Enrich
Company websites, email addresses, services and stated coverage are added only when independently checked against supporting sources.
Publish
The site is rebuilt only after its supplier, city and licence data pass the automated validation checks.

A basic listing contains the licence holder’s official company name, registered address, telephone number, licence number, licence type and expiry date.

Understanding locations
Based in does not always mean serves
A company’s registered address establishes where the licence holder is based. It does not automatically prove every city or region the company serves.
Locally registered contractors may be shown automatically on their registered city page. Wider coverage is added only where the company explicitly states that it serves that location or provides nationwide coverage.

A directory listing is not a recommendation or guarantee that a contractor is suitable for a particular project. Confirm the current licence, licence conditions, competence, insurance, availability and suitability for the specific work before making an appointment.
